Mr. Daniel Juergen Voellm
HVS Asia Pacific
As Managing Partner of HVS Asia Pacific, German-born Daniel Voellm is responsible for the operation of the Firm’s valuation, consulting and investment services for clients based in Hong Kong and throughout the region.
Daniel Voellm has provided advice in 21 territories across Asia Pacific. Prior to assuming his regional role, Daniel Voellm headed the Hong Kong office after his time as Vice President at HVS’ global headquarters in New York conducting a wide range of appraisals, market studies and underwriting due diligence services in 22 states as well as Canada.
Daniel Voellm brings a strong understanding of the hospitality industry to HVS. His experience in hotel and food and beverage operations in Germany, Switzerland, England and the United States is complemented by an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree from Ecole hoteliere de Lausanne in Switzerland.
Daniel works closely with key institutional and private owners of hotel properties, financiers, developers and investors, and has gained a strong understanding of their investment requirement and approaches to assessing market values of investment properties. Daniel further advises on property and concept development and strategy.
After heading the Hong Kong office in 2008, Daniel opened a new HVS office in Bangkok in 2013 and was promoted to Managing Partner Asia Pacific in 2014.
Daniel is chair of the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Hospitality Development Council in Asia Pacific.
Ms. Gilda Perez-Alvarado

Gilda Perez-Alvarado is Chief Executive Officer, JLL Hotels & Hospitality, Americas, where she is responsible for investment sales, debt and equity placement, strategic advisory and asset management. Additionally, Gilda leads the group’s Global Hotel Desk, a specialized team of cross-border investment sales professionals based in the Middle East, Asia Pacific, the Americas and Europe. Previously, Gilda served as a Managing Director, focused on full-service investment sales throughout the United States and globally.
In the past 24 months, Gilda has utilized her global experience to coordinate the sale of several high profile assets including the Plaza Hotel in New York, Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston, St. Regis San Francisco, InterContinental Porto, Waldorf Astoria Edinburg, Four Seasons Toronto, and the Silverbirch hotel portfolio in Canada, among others. In January 2016, she became the recipient of the Jack A. Shaffer Financial Advisor of the year award at the Americas Lodging Investment Summit. Gilda also serves as a member of JLL’s Global Capital Markets Advisory Group and on the Global Advisory Board of Qiddiya, a PIF-funded giga project in Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Tommy Lai

Tommy is the Chief Executive Officer of GHM and is currently based in Singapore. Prior to this recent appointment, Tommy’s 20+ years of experience in the Finance, Real Estate and Hospitality industries across global markets in Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam), North Asia (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and Korea) and the GCC countries (UAE and Oman) has honed his diverse range of capabilities towards a unique and inclusive set of skills and expertise.
His in-depth knowledge and understanding of the areas of Real Estate and Hospitality stem from having worked across the different functions of the organizational spectrum – from Construction to Investment & Asset Management to management of overall revenue and productivity for some of the hospitality industry’s most respected and fastest-growing hotel brands.
Mr. Steve Carroll
Steve Carroll is Vice President, Global Corporate Finance – Capital Investments and Transactions based in the Atlanta office.
In his role, Steve oversees the development and execution of global short and long term investment strategies to ensure alignment with the company’s growth plans and strategic objectives. This includes asset managing IHG’s strategic investments, driving growth through new investments, and pursing strategic acquisition activity.
Steve joined IHG in 2014 in Singapore and has managed numerous investment strategies including, the sale of InterContinental Hong Kong, negotiating the Australian Even Hotels roll-out fund, extending the ANA joint venture in Japan, and progressing the recycling of numerous IHG minority investments across India, Africa, New Zealand, and Australia. In addition, Steve has provided significant support to the growth teams in AMEA and GC in relation to strategic and high value deals across the key gateway markets.
Steve has 20 years of hospitality / investment experience and joined IHG from LaSalle Investment Management a subsidiary of Jones Lang LaSalle Inc. where he was based for five years. He was responsible for the group’s hospitality investments and asset management across Asia and successfully concluded several hotel acquisition and disposal projects. Prior to this he was Asset and Investment Manager at The GPT Group (previously Lend Lease) where he managed the groups hotel portfolio and mixed use sites across Australia.
Mr. Andrew Chen
“Andrew is currently Director of Mobility Solutions at SK Telecom, where he develops opportunities to trial new passenger transportation models, such as microtransit using autonomous shuttles or specialized fleets for airports, transit hubs, hotels, shopping centers, and business parks.
Prior to SK Telecom, Andrew delivered innovative digital signage solutions for public venues at LG Electronics, and later at Samsung SDS, where he enhanced the guest journey through the convergence of mobile apps and IoT in hospitality and travel. Raised in San Francisco with a BA in History at nearby UC Berkeley, Andrew began his tech career in Silicon Valley starting out as a web programmer who grew into product management of enterprise mobile IT solutions at Accela and BMC Software, both leaders in public and private sectors respectively.”
Ms. Vincci Yang
Business development manager
Vincci is the business development manager for STR, covering south China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and South Korea. STR tracks supply and demand data for the hotel industry and provides valuable market share analysis for global hotel and investment companies and agencies across the globe. Vincci is responsible for enhancing knowleges in hotel revenue management, expending understandings in benchmarking, as well as increasing the engagement in data intelligence for hospitality, research and investment companies.
Prior to joining STR, she worked as Revenue Manager for Marriott Hong Kong Cluster, experienced not only in room revenue management, but also in catering and F&B revenue management and analytics.
Vincci holds Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, as well as a Master degree from Cornell University School of Hotel Administration.

Since the listing of Ascendas Hospitality Trust (A-HTRUST) in 2012, Juay Hiang has led the development of A-HTRUST into a well-diversified trust, breaking into new markets in the process. In 2018, Juay Hiang oversaw the acquisitions of five hotels and divestment of two hotels, where the aggregated property values transacted were in excess of S$500 million. Under his stewardship, the portfolio has grown from 10 hotels at listing to 14 hotels currently.
Juay Hiang has more than 15 years of experience in real estate industry, across multiple asset classes in various countries across Asia Pacific. Mr. Youngchul Jun

Youngchul Jun is the managing director at Ambassador Hotel Group in Korea. He has been acting as Chief Marketing Officer and played a key role in developing smart room solution with partners. Prior to join Ambassador Hotel Group, he worked for Samsung and Verzion telecommunications as a IT manager, and also worked for LG Uplus and Johnson and Johnson as a marketing director. His various experiences in the IT, FMCG, Telecommunication industries as both IT manager and marketing director helped him to bring digital technologies into hotels. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Engineering degree from Pusan National University in Korea and a Master of Business Administration from Rutgers University in NJ, USA.
Mr. Harrison Yang
On 1997, Harrison started his career at the Novotel Ambassador Hotel; known as one of the hospitality branches of Accor. Harrison was one of the opening members of Ibis, which is Korea’s first business hotel. During his employment from JW Marriott Seoul, he had performed Marriott’s new branch opening of Marriott Executive Apartments. He also built his career at the Starwood (Sheraton) and Westin. Especially at the Westin, he was in charge of Planning, Projection, Masterlease, International Brand Contract and etc.
On 2008, he had participated on the Mt. Kum Kang project from the Ananti group; collaborated with GHM. Currently, he is the Director of the Operation from the Ananti group.
